Our Beliefs

What We Believe

The Bible is Reliable

Both Old and New Testament, the Bible is actually a collection of 66 books, written over 1,500 years by almost 40 authors. The bible is right by the overwhelming historical evidence as well as the Holy Spirit inspiration of the authors.

II Tim. 3:16-17, I Thess. 2:13, II Peter 1:21

One God

That there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct co-equal Persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Although equals, there is a hierarchy as the Father is the first among equals. The same in substance but diverse in function.

Deut. 6:4, Isa. 43:10-11, Matt. 28:19, Luke 3:22

Jesus Christ as Deity

The whole essence of the Christian position and faith is entirely dependent upon the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe He is 100% man but also 100% God. This makes Him uniquely qualified to save humanity.

Rom. 9:5, John 1:1, John 5:18, 10:30, 14:9

The Fall of Man

Man was created good, in the image and likeness of God. However by a voluntary act, he fell into a state of sinfulness that condemned him to eternal separation from God.We believe that man is helpless and hopeless to change their condition.

Gen. 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6, Rom. 5:12-19, 3:23

The Salvation of Man

Man’s only hope for salvation is through the shed blood of Jesus. This salvation is received through repentance towards God and faith in Jesus. We have been saved, are being saved and will one day be wholly saved when Jesus returns.

Acts 4:12, John 3:3, Rom. 10:13, Eph. 2:8, Titus 2:11, 3:5-7

Water Baptism

This is a signed seal through an outward confession of an inward faith representing the death of the old sinful life and the resurrection of the new Divine life. Although this is not a means of grace we believe that it is a channel of grace where God meets us.

Matt. 3:13-17, Mark 16:16, Acts 8:37-39, I John 5:5-6

The Power of Prayer

It has the power to change any situation or circumstance. Heartfelt prayer will bring about healing, deliverance and restoration to those who earnestly believe. We believe it is our Fathers good pleasure to give good gifts to His children, if we would only ask.

Phil 4:6, Luke 19:46, Rom. 12:12, I Thes. 5:17, II Chr. 7:14, Mark 9:29

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

It is distinct from salvation. With it, comes the endowment of power for life and the work of the ministry. We believe that the evidence of Holy Spirit Baptism is the Fruit of the Spirit and the expression of this Baptism, is the Gifts of the Spirit.

Acts 2:4, 4:8, 8:14-17, 10:44-48, 11:14-16, 15:7-9, Luke 24:49, I Cor. 12:1-31

Divine Healing

Jesus is the same today as He was when He walked the earth. Healing from every kind of sickness is provided for us in His atoning death. Healing was always meant to work with the gospel message so if you can believe God for forgiveness, you can believe Him for healing!

Isa. 53:4-5, Matt. 8:16-17, James 5:14-16

The Church

The church is a group of people committed to living life together in a community centered around Jesus! It is God’s plan; and is God born as a local expression where His family comes to worship Him.

Matthew 16:18-19, Acts 2:41-47, 5:11-14, 14:23, 16:5, 1 Corinthians 7:17, 9:13-14, Eph. 1:22-23, 3:10-12, 5:22-32, Colossians 1:18

Our Purpose

We are the light of the world. The entire body of Christ is God’s hand extended throughout the earth. A good Church is a sending church, working together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of reaching all people for the glory of Christ.

Matt. 28:18-20, Matt. 5:14, John 9:4
